In her arrangement of the most well-known Christmas carol for four female voices a cappella, Winnie Brückner tried to develop an alternative version. Ideally, this rather simple choral setting should be sung very broadly, in legato with choral breathing, so that the typical breaks every two bars are not too great. With English and additional German lyrics (Stille Nacht).
