Christian Bährens is a choir director for several ensembles, composer, voice coach and music teacher in his hometown of Berlin. After completing his studies, he attended master classes in choral conducting with Heinz Hennig and Laszlo Heltay and devoted himself increasingly to solo singing and its methodology. In 2011, he received his doctorate from the University of Bydgoszcz in Poland with a dissertation on Handel's Utrecht Te Deum. Following his encounter with the Norwegian women's choir EMBLA in 2017, he also began to actively compose choral music and piano songs. His numerous works from the past eight years have been published by various publishers, including Helbling Verlag since 2025.
