In my modest opinion this strategy is very useful for comprhending a text. I agree that when you read we normally and almost unconsciously we do it in our native language, so this a skill that can be transferred to the foreign language or it can be reinforced if is not well developed.
On the other hand, this framework of questions can be very useful to the teachers, especially young teachers. Besides, this may also be very useful for implementing reading or book clubs in beginners or even advanced learners. I really treasure this proposal
