A large-scale contemporary a-cappella choral composition in which Lorenz Maierhofer takes human rights as his central theme in a remarkable manner. This work, which was specially commissioned by Gunter Berger, conductor and choral director at the Dresden Philharmonic, was given its first performance in 2014 in the Dresden Frauenkirche, and is dedicated to UNICEF and all human-rights organisations. This impressive choral work also contains an optional spoken section declaiming ten human rights and rights of the child, accompanied by the choir in the background. Whether in concerts, at major festivals or as a competition piece, this classical modern work with its moving melodies, harmonies and rhythms and the strong message of its content will never fail to convince all who hear it.
