The choral piece nKanyezi is part of Franco Prinsloo’s musical NALEDI – An African Journey. In this tale of courage, adventure and magic Naledi, the morning star, is on a quest to find the Great Baobab tree that is guarding an ancient secret of light and truth. NALEDI is a unique musical that applies the universality of South African folklore in a contemporary manner. nKanyezi is a joyful composition praising the evening star: "Beautiful star in the night, we look at you, we see you, always shine for us."
