The night sky with its starry splendor as a large Christmas tree – this is an idyllic image that the Tyrolean poet Angelika von Hörmann creates here. With a solemn melodic line that he provides with subtly nuanced harmonic turns, Michael Aschauer very sensitively portrays the lyrics in his strophic setting. This easily singable choral piece was commissioned for the “8th Pan-Tyrolean Singing Competition” 2022.
