Jonathan Mummert was born in 1998 in Geesthacht, Germany. He began taking piano lessons at the age of five and joined the composition class of the ensemble L’art pour L’art at seven. From the age of fifteen, he appeared on stages throughout the German-speaking world as a founding member of the vocal ensemble “baff!”, for which he continues to write the majority of the songs and arrangements, performing as both a singer and beatboxer. From 2017 to 2021 he studied music education in Leipzig, followed by a degree in popular music composition in Dresden from 2021 to 2026. Today, he directs several choirs, works as a university lecturer, and is active as a freelance singer, composer, and arranger (including projects for maybebop, Anders, medlz, and others).
