Melissa (Μέλισσα, meaning “bee” in Greek) tells of the adventures of a small Cypriote bee that is in love with a jasmine blossom. This is a piece that utilizes techniques like body percussion, sound improvisation and additive harmony in a simple and intuitive manner. The composition may be sung by four female mid-range voices (SSAA or SAAA).
