This piano miniature, composed for young performers, was distinguished with an award in the composition contest at the Kompositionswettbewerb des 9. Stuttgarter Musikfests in 2016. The melodies, harmonies and rhythms are meant to invoke, “at the moment of sounding,” a broad spectrum of musical (e. g., Bach, Bartók) and geographical (e. g. Andalusia, the Balkans) associations. With the composition’s frugal but effective means of expression one can also imagine it as a sort of acoustic travelogue. It takes the form of a three-part rondo.
