Bourrasque de Neige (Snow's Commotion) Individual Work

Bourrasque de Neige (Snow’s Commotion) reflects in a romantic manner various wintery scenarios between wild snow flurries and the lingering beauty of frozen grasses and plants. I wrote this duo for violin and piano out of my childhood joy at the magic of the first snowfall as well as my fascination of the perceived standstill of nature in winter. This is cordially dedicated to the Duo Allegria, namely my dear friend Matthias Well and the pianist Lilian Akopova. They gave the piece a wonderful premiere. (Mathias Rehfeldt)
