Sacred and secular masterworks of choral music of four centuries
The German Youth Chamber Choir (Deutscher JugendKammerChor) was reorganized in 2010 by their new director Robert Göstl. With this recording of sacred and secular masterworks of choral literature from the Renaissance to the early 20th century the choir presents the debut CD. The execution of this ambitious project was carried out in a virtuoso manner as the recordings captivate the listener by means of interpretations that do full justice to each piece as well as through the beguiling sound of these young voices. The selection of works is just as fascinating: Popular widely-known gems have been enhanced by delightful discoveries from around the globe (e.g. Mexico, USA, Spain, and the Netherlands), and even a premiere recording by Hermann Goetz is included.
